Intro to Corrections

Course Description

Students will learn the philosophy, history, and development of the American correctional system. Students study contemporary penalties and the various successes and problems associated with those penalties, including prison life, prisoners' rights, community corrections, and the death penalty. For anyone interested in correctional careers. Prerequisite/Corequisite: CRI 1510. J occasionally; C occasionally.
