Field Placement I-Education

Course Description

Students will gain practical experience participating in a minimum of 100 hours of supervised work in a public school or other appropriate educational setting. Students will also participate in weekly coursework which focuses on developing professionalism, knowledge of how schools and classrooms work, and teamwork within the educational setting. The course also focuses on students' experiences, problems, and special interests. Developmentally appropriate practices related to curriculum, instruction, and assessment will be examined and applied. Department permission and prerequisite: EDU 1290 or EDU 1510.
