Adult & Child CPR/AED

Course Description

Students will be prepared to recognize emergency situations and how to follow emergency actions steps. Additionally, students will be prepared to respond to breathing and cardiac emergencies for adults, children, and infants. Students will learn the skills and knowledge needed to provide care for victims of sudden cardiac arrest through the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED). Upon successful completion of course and final exam, students will have the option to become American Red Cross certified in adult, child, and infant CPR and AED for the Professional Rescuer. No requisites. J, fall, spring; C, fall, spring.
