Course Description
This New York state mandated study surveys the correctional system and provides an in-depth academic and practical correctional officer experience. Students/recruits are required to learn, understand, and apply the requisite functions of a correctional officer as stated by the New York State Department of Corrections. Prerequisite: Student must be a sworn correction officer working in either a county jail or correctional facility. Campus and term: C occasionally
