Intro to Literary Studies

Course Description

Students will explore the concept of the literature and its history, be introduced to and interrogate the literary canon, and learn to read across literary genres: narrative, poetry, and drama. Students will read texts that represent a variety of perspectives, periods, and cultures and in doing so will develop foundational skills for literary analysis. No requisites. J fall, spring; C fall, spring.
