Literature Goes to Hell

Course Description

Students will examine various works of literature, art, and music which include the Underworld, Hades, Hell, and the devil. These motifs are examined in a way that refers to the cultures and time periods from which they sprang. These are discussed as literary themes, not necessarily as religious ones. Prerequisite: ENG 1530. J occasionally, C occasionally.
