Course Description
There Students will survey a variety of career opportunities in the music industry, including artist management, entrepreneurship, recording, performance, venue management and operation, publishing, law, public relations, marketing, A&R representation, broadcast media and film. Students will gather information about various career paths in the industry, and will evaluate the relationships between those potential career paths. Students will develop written and oral communication skills essential to the music industry through the preparation of relevant documents and materials such as letter of inquiry, recording reviews, press releases, and press kits. No requisites. J occasionally.
